WipeProof

Privacy

How DataScale Business handles personal data collected through the WipeProof website.

Draft pending legal review. This document is an outline prepared for counsel review and is not yet in force. Final wording will be published before launch.

Controller

The controller for personal data collected through this website is DataScale Business.

Pending counsel: registered company address, company number and, if required, the EU representative and Data Protection Officer contact.

Data we collect

Through this website we collect:

  • Contact form submissions — name, company, country, monthly device volume and your message.
  • Sample certificate requests — the email address you provide so we can send the annotated sample.
  • Product analytics — only if you accept analytics. Nothing is collected, and no analytics identifier or cookie is set, before you opt in.

Purposes and legal bases

Contact and sample certificate details are used solely to respond to your enquiry and to send the material you asked for. Analytics are used to understand how the website is used, and only with your consent.

Pending counsel: confirmation of the legal basis relied on for each purpose (consent, legitimate interests, or pre-contractual steps).

Retention

Pending counsel: retention periods for website enquiries, sample certificate requests and analytics data.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies you have the rights set out in Articles 15 to 22: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and rights concerning automated decision-making. You may also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Analytics and cookies

Product analytics are off by default. No non-essential cookie or analytics identifier is stored until you choose “Accept analytics”, and declining leaves the site fully functional. You can change your decision at any time by clearing this site’s stored data in your browser.

Pending counsel: whether a standalone cookies notice is required. This is linked to the open decision on the footer “Cookies” item (spec §18.7). The approved copy skeleton refers to a cookieless analytics provider; the implemented stack is opt-in PostHog, so this section must be confirmed against the tooling actually deployed.
